Introducing The PAG
Since 1962 Larch Street Kindergarten has been welcoming children and families through its leafy gates. Nestled within Blackburn's beautiful parkland, we offer an immersive and engaging kinder program for both 3 and 4 year olds.
We have established an outstanding reputation across the local community, with many second-generation families now coming through the gates. We’re also proud to be a broad feeder kindergarten to many local schools, ensuring children are school-ready through a diverse teaching program hosted by YMCA Early Learning.
The Parents Advisory Group (PAG) are community focussed volenteers who sit on the Larch Street Kindergarten Association Pty. Ltd. Committee. The PAG focus’s on enriching childrens kindergarten years through fund raising for incusions, excursions, equipment and services while fostering a rich engaged community for all attending families.
At Larch Street Kindergarten, the PAG helps to create a warm and caring environment, with light-filled learning and play areas plus a lovely playground and nearby parkland. We are involved in working bees and enhancements to our Kindergarten which foster the imagination and development of all children, giving them a supportive platform to learn, grow and build relationships.
The YMCA Early Learning program provides the benefits from play-based learning at Larch St Kindergarten. We celebrate the role of play in childrens cognitive, social and emotional development. This includes dance, music, gardening, painting, arts and crafts, and many other engaging activities and programs.
